HD 7.7-131mm broadcast zoom lens, servo zoom/focus, XS digital drive, 2X ext' macro. The HJ17ex7.7B is a cost-effective new 2/3-inch portable HD lens specifically intended to support the emerging industry interest in high definition electronic newsgathering. It is a key new member of a family of HD portable lenses intended to support the broadening of HDTV production. This particular lens is intended for producers and broadcasters having as their foremost priority an affordable lens-camera system that offers performance tailored for HDTV newsgathering. The HJ17ex7.7B utilized breakthrough technologies and powerful computer-aided design techniques to produce an HDTV lens with a generous wide-angle field of view in a modest 3.6 lb package. The optional flexibility of Canon’s Crossover aspect ratio switching system makes it a superb performer for both 16:9 widescreen and standard 4:3 image formats |
